The production techniques have evolved alongside advancements in technology. In the United States, fans of Japanese anime subculture have been labeled with terms like “wapanese” which refers to white individuals aspiring to be Japanese, and later “weeaboo” for those deeply immersed in the world of anime and related aspects of Japanese culture.
